Time for.....something a little bit different

Hello there,

Welcome back to another blog post from Tea With Me and Friends.

Today I wanted to share with you a little project that I have heard that features a tearoom in Hertfordshire. Now this is a little bit different from our usual post, but when I read about it I thought it was a really interesting project....

Tea for Two is a short comedy film which has been written by Mark Brennan, the story centres around the eccentric Jim & Alice, a long-retired couple running a seemingly idyllic village tea shop. The tearoom which will feature in the film is Westmill Tea Room in Westmill Village Green,
Near Buntingford in Hertfordshire and before Mark had started work on this film he had never had a cream tea (hard to believe I know!) but now he is more than a little partial to the odd scone or two!

Also on the team is Pastry Chef Fiona Cairns and her team, who is one of the Executive Producers and creative partners. The team have already announced John Challis (from Only Fools and Horses) as the actor playing Jim and will be announcing the female lead soon.

Now you're probably wondering why I'm telling you about a film that isn't finished yet....well this is where it gets even more interesting as Mark and his team are currently crowd funding via Indiegogo in order to raise budget for the film. You can get involved and support the production by contributing any amount of money to get this film on the road. Take a peek at their campaign to find out more about the project and the various perks on offer if you donate set amounts.

I'm quite excited to watch this film develop and look forward to watching it next year!

Thanks for popping by today,
Rachel
